Our Mission

Energy Technologies, Inc. (ETI) is dedicated to providing highly reliable, yet cost effective product solutions for the computer and power conditioning requirements of critical applications including the military, industrial, medical, and telecommunications sectors.

Total Power Protection

The PowerStation and WorldPower lines employ field proven designs with thousands of units operating worldwide in a full range of environments. ETI's UPS totally overcome ALL power problems! They even provide better quality power for your equipment than the power company. By continuously regenerating a pure AC sinewave, your load always receives the cleanest possible power under all conditions ensuring reliable operation and prolonging the life of your equipment. As a true online UPS, the PowerStation has no switching time, eliminating even the remotest chance of data loss from dangerous power gaps. If the AC power is lost, your equipment will continue running without interruption long enough for an orderly shutdown or for power to be restored. Extended battery times up to 24 hours are available.

These UPS products protect your equipment against sustained brownouts and over voltages indefinitely. Even when the input drops or rises beyond normal limits, the PowerStation regulates the output without any battery drain. This prevents nuisance alarms and shutdowns caused by most UPSs that drain the battery during brownouts. This also ensures that battery capacity is available to handle blackouts that follow brownouts.

Integrated Systems

ETI offers the advantages of highly integrated systems. PowerStation incorporates a fully rated isolation transformer and optionally an intelligent power distribution unit (PDU) in the same chassis as the UPS, saving rack space and cabling while improving overall reliability. The transformer galvanically separates the input from the output power, which is critical in applications where power grounding is nonexistent or inconsistent. The PDU provides individual local or remote control of the loads with first out alarms, safety interlocks and thermal shutdown features.

ETI’s products include PowerStation™ intelligent Global UPS, power distribution units (PDU), frequency converters and battery systems. WorldPower™ versions incorporate the ability to operate from all single-phase voltages and frequencies worldwide and even from aircraft or vehicular power. AirbornePower™ is used aboard both commercial and military aircraft to provide power for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment. TelecomPower™ includes telecommunications grade DC rectifiers, chargers and battery systems. CellPower™ products are used in cellular applications. ETI's unique packaged power system, UPStart™, combines the advantages of a standby generator and an UPS. MissionCritical™ includes rugged computer chassis, drive expansion units and Redundant RAID systems with redundant power and flexible configurations. Each product is modular and may be modified to suit a particular application or integrated into a total solution and is available as either Military Standard (MilSpec) or COTS.

From the sedate office and control room environments to the shock and vibration of shipboard and military vehicle applications to the temperature extremes of unprotected desert installations, ETI's products have become the Standard in rugged power applications today.

ETI’s rugged, high-reliability products are in use around the world including:

In hostile environments ranging from desert pipelines to off shore rigs to wind turbines to blast furnaces;

New Products and Features

New 2 kVA Power Conditioner/PDU Series for FAA with Intelligent SNMP and Manual Controls

The ETI0001-1473 is specifically designed for FAA rack systems providing high reliability, direct replacement for previous 120 VAC power conditioning and power distribution equipment. The ETI0001-1473 does not require a separate PDU since the PDU functions are already integrated into the power conditioning module. This saves rack space, cabling and expense while improving overall reliability. The unit also has redundant/conditioned DC outputs. The ETI0001-1473 can be easily upgraded to a UPS with the addition of a battery module. The  ETI0001-1473A also provides backward compatibility for the 208 VAC version. The  ETI0001-1473B version also provides backward compatibility for the 208 VAC version, but without needing the separate transformer module of the older equipment.

New 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 kVA SSDS (Ship Self Defense System) UPS

The ETI0001-2227, ETI0001-2228 and ETI0001-2229 provide 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 kVA respectively with global autoranging input capability. They were designed specifically for US Navy SSDS systems with full backward compatibility for both new and refit applications. These units also include the ETI unique hot swap battery with front access, drawout battery modules. Battery replacement can be done without any interruption to the loads. Additional features include Battleshort, Manual Bypass and Elapsed Time Meter.

400 Hz Frequency Input and Output Options

We now offer 400 Hz output on our UPS, Frequency Converters, and Electronic Power Conditioners. This is in addition to the existing 50 and 60 Hz features. So now you can specify any input frequency from 46 to 440 Hz and either 50, 60 or 400 Hz output!

Points Worth Noting

All ETI Products have been Y2K Compliant for 6 years. Not the Least Expensive, But the Lowest Total Ownership Cost (TOC)

In making product evaluations today, the wise decision makers base their conclusions using Total Ownership Cost or TOC. Considering all factors, ETI’s products have the lowest TOC due to their overall performance and reliability. Besides the initial product cost, areas to consider are Installation, Training, Maintenance, Spares and Uptime. Products such as the ETI0001-N5 series integrate features that reduce the overall space and installation costs. Defense services and support contractors are already experienced with ETI’s design and the products operation. Manpower is a very significant factor in TOC. Very high reliability means minimal maintenance, which results in minimal manpower requirements. Once the ETI units are installed, they require very little or no preventative maintenance to keep them operational over the years. Very high reliability means a negligible spare parts requirement. If spares are desired, one set per site would be more than adequate for years of operation. Very high reliability means maximum operational uptime. Since failures usually interrupt operations at the most crucial times and since UPS or PDU reliability impacts multiple downstream loads, minimizing failures or downtime is imperative. ETI has field proven very high reliability and uptime. The Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) exceeds 250,000 hours and the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) is less than one half hour on most of ETI's products!

ETI's Products are Rugged from the Start, Not a Consumer Product Ruggedized.Rugged, Not Ruggedized
(Not all COTS Products are Created Equal)

Most products sold in the rugged market start out as desktop or consumer products (Commercial Off The Shelf otherwise known as COTS). These vendors will attempt to "ruggedize" their product to compete in the rugged market. These ruggedized COTS products usually fail due to either temperature, mechanical shock or vibration requirements since they were not designed to withstand these extremes!

ETI's products start out rugged whether for COTS or full MilSpec applications. They are designed to and meet Military Environmental Standards. ETI's products have successfully passed these tests numerous times including Mil STDs 167, 810, 901 plus surviving the vehicle mounted endurance tests in the notorious Belgium Block and the explosive charges in the Barge tests.

ETI's GSA Schedule Simplifies Procurement.GSA Schedule For Most Products Plus VISA/MasterCard/Discover Card
